Random Thoughts

I have a few random thoughts I thought I would share.

*I decided I wanted Trenton to stay home with me one more year. He could start Kindergarten this Fall, but He would be the youngest in his class. I started getting really sad thinking my only boy was going to school. I think he will do much better if he waits a year. So, hopefully I can get him in a good pre-school.

*Jared and I have been doing lots of yardwork. I love it, I don't know about him so much. It makes me happy to see my flowers and trees blooming. We have been working on our backyard. Jared made me a HUGE garden spot and I decided I did not need one that big. So we made two birms that we are going to plant various things on and then we are going to put a firepit and patio in. We still have a ton of work to do on it but it is fun to see the progress.

* Jared has been really trying to take Saturdays off. I thoroughly enjoy it when he does. We worked in the yard for a bit today and then we went to Boise to ride our bikes on the Greenbelt. Great time! We recently purchased new mountain bikes. Since Taiylor and Trenton can both ride now we thought it would be a great, cheap family activity. The Greenbelt is so fun. We took some snacks and took breaks when Trenton got tired. We probably rode around 4-5 miles today. Trenton pedals twice as fast as we do so he was dead tired when we got done. The kids played at the playground for about an hour after. Emma rode in the bike seat behind Jared and she enjoyed herself. We are looking for a bike trailer. So, if anyone knows a good one let me know.

*Love my kids and husband. Jared and I have been running and biking together and it has been so fun to be together. It seems like we rarely get alone time, because we are always with the kids. I really love our time together.

I will post pictures soon. My camera battery is dead right now. Have a good week!

Family Time

We had a good weekend. We worked on the yard Saturday until about 2:30 and then headed over to Boise. We stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Manships. They seemed really happy to see us. The kids took their bikes and got to show them how well they can ride them. Their is a nice park in their subdivision, so we went to that and the kids had a ball. Grandpa was telling us how good the Jalapeno burger is at Carl's Jr, so we went over to try it out. The kids had a good time playing in the play area while we ate and visited. We need to get over to see them more. They are so kind and sweet. Grandpa is so proud of Taiylor for how well she can read.

Sunday we decided to go over to Nyssa to see Grandma and Grandpa Bair, but they weren't home. We stopped by some good friends and visited with them for awhile.

We were passing the Nyssa Cemetery and decided to stop. We showed the kids Great-Grandma Bair's headstone and also their Great-Great Grandma and Grandpa Bairs headstone. I haven't been to that cemetary in a really long time, so it was nice to show the kids.

We got home and Jared and I pushed Emma in the stroller while Taiylor and Trenton rode their bikes.

It was a great weekend!! I love spending time with my family.

Trent rides his bike without training wheels

Well, Trent can officially ride his bike without training wheels. He decided he wanted to try and the first time I let go he started pedaling. It took about 2 days before he could do it all by himself. Now he is going off dirt jumps and pedaling all over the farm. He was riding out to the barn today. He told me that when he turns 16 he doesn't want a car he wants a motorcycle!

Happy Easter!

This year we decided to spend Easter with our own family. I cooked a yummy dinner, and then made an easter cake. It turned out cute, but the kids didn't like it because it had coconut on it. The kids had fun at the easter egg hunt at the park. During dinner I asked the kids what their Easter lesson was about at church. Taiylor starting telling about the resurrection and what it meant. Trenton started getting really concerned and was saying " I don't want to be resurrected and die. I want to stay just how I am." Poor guy. He didn't quite understand. I tried to explain to him, but he was pretty worried about it.

Josh Wedding

Georgia Trip

Josh's Wedding was on March 6th. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. It was so fun. All of our family was there except Jared, Taiylor and Trenton. Emma and I flew down on the 5th. We went to the rehearsal dinner that night at a yummy Japanese Steakhouse and then that night went to a lingerie party for Kalyn.

She is a really cute, sweet girl. They both look so happy together. The reception was awesome. Good food, dancing, and mingling

We got a picture of all the Widman kids, which I have been wanting to do for awhile. Don't I have handsome brothers! I think so. I love my brothers. They are all so fun. Maybe someday we will live closer to each other.

Overall, it was a very fun trip. It was fun to stay with my parents and let Emma bond with them. I loved visiting with Sam and Joy and Spencer and his family. I love David and Katelyn. It was really fun to spend some quality time with them. They are such cuties. Emma loved playing with them.

I finally got to see my dad's new vette. It is beautiful. Emma and I took a cruise in it around the block. FUN!

Time Out for Women

While I was in Georgia I got to go to TOFW in Tallahassee, FL. It was wonderful. I went with my good friend, Holly Keyton. I came back feeling so uplifted and ready to take on my household again. The speakers were great. One of the speakers was Jason Wright(author of The Wednesday Letters) He was so good, as was the book. If any of you get a chance to go to a TOFW, be sure and go. THey are well worth the money.

A few key things I picked up:
*Family Service Ideas: thank you notes, pick projects that help your children grow, family service will help a child feel the spirit.

*Forgiveness is the gift you give yourself.

*A prayer is the window into the soul of your spouse.(love this one)

*Have an anxious concern for the comfort and well being of your spouse. Pres Hinckley.

*Create a heavenly home for your children know matter what they do.

* Let your child know their mother loves them

* The spirit of contention will depart if we read the scriptures. Marion G. Romney

State Champ

Here is my little "State Champ Wrestler" When my mom was visiting, Trenton wanted to show her his singlet and she told him to get in the wrestlers stance. What a boy! He tells his dad he is going to be a state champ. During wrestling season, he goes to a lot of the practices and tournaments. The boys think he is great and he loves spending time with his dad.
