Family time

Today we had an easy going Saturday which was kind of nice for a change. Taiylor and I have been redoing her room and she got bunkbeds so we put those together and got her room all situated. I will post pictures later. It turned out really cute. My washing machine died this week so we are in the process of trying to buy a new one. I haven't done laundry in almost a week. It has been nice but when my new washer gets here it is going to have to do overtime.

Jared and the kids and I went out to the farm this evening to check on things. I love it when we are all together. I never imagined that I would live on a farm, especially a dairy, but it is such a good family life. So good for the kids. Trent fed all the calves grain by himself and Taiylor helped her dad throw straw in the calf hutches while Emma and I drove the loader with the straw. It was so funny, those little calves were so excited to get new bedding. They were jumping all over the place. I was watching Taiylor and I could tell she wanted to impress her daddy by helping him. She is such a good girl. All my kids are. I love it that they can be around their dad all day. It is going to be a sad day when Trenton goes to school and isn't following his dad or Papa around. When the vet comes out and Trent isn't with Jared, they ask where he is because he is usually in tow. Today him and Taiylor were playing and I saw him go outside in his swim trunks, cowboy boots and his coonskin hat. I should have gotten a picture.

Emma has her own baby calf that she runs to every day. It is so cute. She also loves going with her daddy. This is so much easier for me to document our life than a traditional journal. So mainly this blog is for me than anyone else. But I am glad others get to share in our life also.

Bubbles

So, I decided I would try harder to document a little bit about Trenton's mischief. The other day I hear Taiylor say,"Oh, no this is bad!" So, I went upstairs to Trent's room, of course, and found that he had dumped half of his soap bottle into his sink and put the plug in. His sink was overflowing with bubbles onto the floor. He had his bubble wand and looked like he was about to have a good time. A friend of mine asked me if I got really mad at him and I told her I didn't. I actually had to keep from laughing. Trent is just a very imaginative, mischievious boy. I have found that I have to pick my battles. We talked about the bubbles and he now knows what will happen when he plugs up his sick with water and bubbles.

Work in Progress

I decided to take some phots of Jared's work on the farm. Right now he is building a maternity shed, which will be so nice for him and the cows! We also got a new loader that the kids think is pretty awesome! Jared has done so many improvements since we have been back on the farm. He really loves what he does.
