McCall Mini Vacation

We went to Mccall for a quick little getaway. We stayed at the Holiday Inn. The room was really nice. It had 2 queen beds with a couch and refridgerator and microwave also. I booked it on Priceline for $79, so I was pretty happy about that. We got into town Saturday around noon. Our room wasn't quite ready so we headed to the tubing hill. We went to the tubing hill last year and had a lot of fun so the kids wanted to go again. Last year Cael was just little and it was so cold that Jared stayed in the truck with him, but this year we all got to go. It has been such an odd Winter. At home we have only had a skiff of snow and the snow was very limited in Mccall. The kids loved the hill. You ride up on a rope tow and then head down the hill. Cael was in his own tube and not scared one bit.

Cael loved playing in the snow. The other kids started making snowangels, so of course he had to try to. It was so cute!

When we got back we checked into our room and headed to the pool. Their was a big hot tub. I of course went to the hot tub. The pool was a bit cold. Cael loved the hot tub and was pretty brave. Emma is still trying to learn to like the water. She held onto Taiylor and Jared a few times. She definitely needs swimming lessons again.

Our hotel was right across the street from the Pancake house and the kids love that place so that is where we ate dinner. Jared and I had forgotten how big the pancakes were. The kids each got a plate size pancake and could barely eat all of it. After dinner Taiylor, Trenton and I walked to Ridley's and got some treats and microwave popcorn. We ate popcorn and treats and layed in bed and watched a movie. By 9pm the lights were out and everyone was asleep. We were tired. I love it when we go out of town and Jared gets to sleep in and rest. He wakes up usually at 5am seven days a week. He deserves a little rest and relaxation.

Sunday we leisurely woke up and had breakfast at the hotel then headed over to Payette Lake. The kids and I walked out on the frozen lake a little ways. It was kinda neat. Their were some small hills that the kids could sled on it but we forgot our sleds so we ran to Pauls and bought 2. The kids had a really good time sledding. Cael enjoyed himself but got frustrated quickly.

All in all it was a very fun and relaxing trip. I wish we could get out of town more often.
P.S. The pictures aren't that great but atleast we have some memories.
