I am such a terrible, mean mother. The kids were being wild,crazy,screaming and fighting, so I made them go upstairs and put their pjs on. I went into Trent's room and saw one of my roses that Jared got me for our anniversary. Trenton had cut one of them right at the tip of the rose. I immediately got angry and yelled at him for doing it. He also had my blue painters tape that I had just bought. I shut his door and told him not to come out. I felt bad so I went back to his room. He had the saddest look on his face. I told him I was sorry and asked him if I made him feel bad. Then came the saddest nod. He was trying to tape the rose to my mother's day bag that he made at school. He wanted to give me the rose for mothers day. He has been trying to be nice to me for Mother's day and I just snapped. I need to be more patient and loving and realize he is only 5 years old. Let me be a better mother.

We've all been there before. It always makes you feel double guilty when you realize that your kids were actually trying to do something nice!! No worries though, I think the important thing is that they see us apologize when we're wrong. :)
Hi, jared and genny! THis is wade and ashlee. We were at Duke and Jills talking about blogs and we found yours from some of the other cousins. It is great to see your kids. Your family is darling.
