What is Motherhood? I have been thinking about motherhood lately and have decided that it IS a lot of work. Everything I do every day is for my kids and husband. These last couple of weeks have been especially difficult. Emma was sick with the flu for about a week, and now Taiylor is sick. Taiylor has been sick with a bad virus and stomach pains for 5 1/2 days now. She looks so pitiful. She is having a hard time fighting this one. I have been trying to do everything I can for her and I feel like I can't seem to do enough. From morning till night I am busy cleaning, cooking, chasing kids, cleaning kids, playing with kids, and so on. But you know I wouldn't trade it for anything. Trenton and Emma helped me today with yard work and they were having so much fun. Trenton even helped me clean toilets today. I am usually totally exhausted by the end of the day but it is the sweet moments when your kids tell you they love you that make it worth it.
On another note, my brother Spencer flew over our house today in his Apache helicopter. It was awesome. We were all outside and he flew about 500 ft above us. He is really talented. The kids think he is so cool to be able to fly a helicopter. He said he would fly over our house again, maybe I can get a picture then. We are so glad they are living in Boise again.
I just heard also that my other brother, Josh and his wife are moving to Boise also. I am so excited!

Emma LuJean Myers
Emma is 2 1/2 and so cute. I took these pictures before church. Her hair is getting so long and pretty. She is in love with her daddy. She wants to go with him everywhere. When he gets ready to go out to work, she will stand in front of the door and say, " no, wait." She is pretty much potty trained and loves her horsey panties. She is a very kind, sweet girl. She loves playing with her babies and being a little mommy. If we ever see a baby she is sure to point it out and go say hi to it. She still sucks her thumb and has her BB(her blanket). We love our little Emma.

Cowboys and Cowgirls
The kids had a great time riding Tony and Brownie. Katelyn jumped right on and wasn't scared at all. How cute are they! I love to see cousins having a great time together. Emma thinks she is pretty much in charge of the calves. Her favorite is a little brown jersey. She has to go out and see her baby everyday. She loves going with her daddy on the farm

Trenton's first day of Pre-school
Trenton's first day of pre-school was September 15th. He goes on Mondays and Wednesdays for 9:00-11:30. He was really excited to go. He put on his new school clothes and got his folder and backpack. The other day we were in the car and I said lets practice your numbers and letters, and he told me "Mom, I only learn while I am at school." I guess that is a start getting him interested in learning. What a cute, good boy.

Landscaping projects
I have really been trying to get all of our landscaping projects done this year. They are not done, but I have made a good dent in them. We added curbing to our flower beds as well as rock, which makes it very maintainable. I love being outside doing yardwork. Everyone always teases me because everytime they drive by I am usually outside doing something to the yard. It gives me great satisfaction to look out at my yard and see everything I have done and the trees and shrubs growing.

Fly Control
We had a bit of a fly problem at our house this year. Most of you all know that we live on a dairy farm and one of the downfalls to living on a dairy is the FLYS. A friend of ours gave us a new product for killing flies. So, we were really excited to try it out and try and cut down on the fly problem. So on a Saturday morning Jared and I got out our buckets and brushes and totally scrubbed the entire house. Jared then mixed up the fly mixture and sprayed it on the house. We went to the lake that afternoon and this is what we came home to:
In addition to killing the flies in 30 seconds it is also an attractant. So, for 2 weeks this is what our porch looked like. I would sweep them up and as fast as I was sweeping there was another trail behind me. It was awful. When people would come to the front door, they would here crunching underneath their feet. So, after that two week period was up, we called Treasure Valley Fly Control and they came out and sprayed again, and it has been much better. I guess that is just the joy of living on a farm. I just have to laugh when I look at the pictures.

Canning Craziness!!!
I have been canning like crazy lately. So far I have frozen 54 bags of sweet corn, mandarin sauce, marinara sauce, beets, 50 jars of peaches, salsa, hamburger dill pickles, peach jam and tomatoes. My mom sent her water bath canner out with Spencer when they moved and I have definitely gotten some use out of it. It is nice to look in my cupboards and know that all of that fresh food came out of my garden. It just takes so much time. The last thing I am going to do is apple pie filling which is so yummy.

Fun With Cousins
David has gotten to spend the night two times and we have loved it. The kids rode horses and played and had a great time. We are so glad Spencer and Jamie are back in town. Hopefully, you other boys will get out here soon.
