What a wonderful Christmas we had. I love this time of year and am so thankful we are able to provide our kids with a Christmas. I love to sit by the tree after Santa comes and just marvel at how blessed we are. I get so excited, I can hardly wait until the kids get up.
Taiylor got what she has been asking for for about 3 years now....an overhead projector...a real one like they use at school. I searched on the interenet and craigslist and just couldn't find one for a reasonable price. I decided I would try the school. So, I asked Mrs Smith (she is our neighbor and was Taiylor's 4th grade teacher) if they ever get rid of any old projectors and where I could find one. Anyway, she ended up talking to Mrs Aguas, the principal and they gave one to me. Mrs Smith kept it at her house until Christmas Eve. How awesome is that. Taiylor was so excited when she saw it. She said, "I can't wait to play school." Their are some kind people in our community. . Santa brought Trenton a pellet gun and a nice warm camo coat Santa brought Emma a pretty pink kitchen with a shopping cart full of groceries. Cael was sleepy, but he had to be part of the family so we woke him up to join in. He was a little sleepy. Jared and Trenton got new sleeping bags and had to try them out. Nans handmade the older kids pajamas...which are adorable. They are going to remember and keep them for years. They love their nans and pops.Saturday, December 25, 2010

Christmas Eve Festivities
Christmas Eve is usually held at Grandma Myers house. She was just not feeling up to it this year so they asked us if we would mind hosting. We were happy to do it. Jason and Denise and kids, Jed and Robin and kids, Kathy and Lucas and Alan and Kristen and her kids were our guests. We had appetizers and desserts and the kids played games. Jed read the Christmas story and then we all just mingled. All in all it was a nice night.
And then the real work began.......This is usually what Jared and I's bedroom looks like around 10pm on Christmas Eve. Jared brought the tv into our room and turned on Family Man and we went to work as Santa's elves building and wrapping gifts. I think he really enjoys it regardless of what he really says.Posted by Genny at 8:18 PM 0 comments

Poor baby bird
A little birdie flew into the house and couldn't find it's way out. Trenton thought he would take the matter into his own hands and take care of it. He grabbed his bow and arrow and went a hunting. The little bird flew all over the house and finally ended up in his bedroom. Jared grabbed Trent's bb gun and shut it in his bathroom and killed it. Trenton was so mad because he wanted to be the one to shoot it with his bow. I am sure their will be plenty more birds to shoot. Poor guy. He looks so sad.

Cousin Christmas Party
I decided that it would be fun to have my cousins that lived in the area over for a casual Christmas party. Emily and Layne and their kids, Jeff, Jackie and kids, Spencer and Jamie and kids, Morgan Cleaver and Chris and Chelsey Mendez were our guests. It was fun. We played games and had desserts and appetizers. The kids had fun playing card games at the kitchen table. I need to get better at taking more pictures. We really need to get together more often with family that lives so close.
Genny and the 2 baby boy cousins... Jacob and Cael. David and Trenton. Trenton put on Jared's big hunting boots and David had on a pair of Trent's boots. Those two always have so much fun when they get together. Jacob and Cael. Cael was born June 1, 2011 and Jacob was born August 2, 2011. Cael was born with tons of hair and Jacob is a little cue ball. What cute little boys!Posted by Genny at 12:37 PM 0 comments
2 of my favorite boys!
I think these are two of my favorite little boys. Look how cute they are. Trenton is so happy to have a brother...even if he is 7 years younger than him. I found one of Trent's baseball caps and rubber boots from when he was about Cael's age...about 6 months old. Too cute!
